Yuri's Night 2025

This April, the Puerto Rico Space Foundation (PRSF) invites you to embark on an extraordinary journey that promises to blend celebration, education, and the spirit of exploration into one unforgettable night. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 12, 2025, starting at 3pm, as we gather at the Captain's Yacht Club to celebrate Yuri's Night, a global party commemorating humanity's first venture into space.

A Night of Celebration and Exploration: Yuri's Night is more than just a party; it's a worldwide movement that honors Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into outer space on April 12, 1961 and the first NASA Space Shuttle flight in April 12, 1981. This event symbolizes our collective achievements in space exploration and inspires a new generation of explorers, scientists, and dreamers. At PRSF, we're taking this opportunity to foster space awareness, support our initiatives, and, of course, have a good time. The evening will be filled with engaging Show & Tell from our local Student Clubs and talks from special invitees from the space industry, sharing insights into the latest advancements and Puerto Rico's growing role in the global space community.

Fundraising for a Stellar Cause: Your participation in Yuri's Night 2025 goes beyond celebration; it's a vital contribution to a cause that transcends earthly boundaries. Proceeds from the event support PRSF's educational initiatives, including:

• Establishing Microgravity Laboratories in K-12 schools across the island. (Our pilot school is Palmas Academy!)

• Supporting the Mars-Moon Astronautics Academy & Research Science programs

• Elevating the Caribbean Space Summit and Space Camp Caribbean

• Strengthening ongoing space education and projects by collaborating with student clubs and other organizations.

These initiatives are designed to ignite passion for STEAM education, provide hands-on experience in space science, and foster collaboration and inclusion within the space industry.  By donating, you'll not only support our cause but also stand a chance to win exciting prizes in our raffle or our auction, including a flight with our local acrobatic pilot, Dondi Pesquera, a weekend at La Parguera, and much more.
